REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA
The Croatian Association of Railway Engineers, in co-operation with partners, is organizing the 7th International Sympo-
sium on Railways with the aim of presenting the most modern technologies and technical solutions for infrastructure
subsystems and railway operators.
Within the scope of the Symposium, there will be a presentation of the South East Europe Alliance for Rail Innovation
(SEESARI), founded by the International Union of Railways (UIC). At the SEESARI initial founders’ meeting, it was
concluded that defining the TEN-T corridor left a significant part of SEE isolated, which made a great impact on the
railway sector and the transport of passengers and goods between Europe and Asia. Specifically for this reason,
SEESARIs mission is to raise railway traffic in this part of Europe to a higher quantitative level, aimed at simpler integra-
tion into European rail corridors. All players participating in rail traffic, including the industry, are welcome to take part in
this all-encompassing project.
This Symposium is intended as a meeting place for railway experts and as an exchange of new ideas in order to improve
the national and regional railway system and its swift integration into the modern European railway network.
SUBJECT AREA
- Plans and possibilities of national rail operators and infrastructure managers
- UIC projects in the SEE area
- Modern rail infrastructure solutions and technologies
- New railway vehicles and modernization
- Innovations in the field of railway transport
